I grew up in the UK and have been studying art since I left school. I don’t remember a time where I wasn’t into art, even now there’s nothing I’d rather do than prime a new canvas or visit a gallery! I’m currently undertaking my masters in Painting after completing my BA in Fine Art in Coventry. I recently took part in an art residency in Switzerland working with artists from all over the world and developing my practice. During this residency, I learnt how to let my work develop more organically and in addition how to focus a little more on my body and mind, I feel that for me the two go hand in hand.
I teach painting workshops in Birmingham and I’m an artist in residence here at the Nook! I often come across people wanting to try something new or relax, but they struggle with confidence or experience in painting. I love being able to share my passion for art with others, especially when they’ve never tried it before and watching them discover their own individual style. There is always room for creativity in my classes and if you don’t arrive with an artistic side you can usually count on leaving with one!
